INTRODUCTION

The Friends of the Australian Ballet (NSW) is a not-for-profit organisation that has been connecting members and inspiring ballet audiences for almost 50 years.

The Friends is the principal support group in NSW for The Australian Ballet and is committed to developing talent through projects and scholarships with The Australian Ballet Company and students of The Australian Ballet School which are located in Victoria.

The Friends has an experienced Board, lean dynamic member services team and established volunteer program that create and deliver a varied selection of ticketed events and communications. These activities grow the art forms profile and appreciation, resulting in fundraising efforts that support The Australian Ballet and The Australian Ballet School.

+ Reinvested millions of dollars in ballet specific projects at The Australian Ballet

+ Presented over 500 events

+ Held 50 major events

The Friends is committed to the development of new talent, providing scholarships for dancers with The Australian Ballet Company and students of The Australian Ballet School. In recent years FABs achievements have included:

+ Funding more than 500 pairs of pointe shoes gifting $50,000 to the Pointe Shoe Fund
