Support The Lilac Fairy
Beauty Returns!
In 2015 The Friends of the Australian Ballet committed a major financial gift to The Australian Ballet for the development of David McAllister’s new envisioning of The Sleeping Beauty. This world acclaimed lavish new production of The Sleeping Beauty has fast become an international standard for all new ballet productions!
The Friends of The Australian Ballet are now permanently acknowledged as the custodian of The Lilac Fairy character for the life of the production. As a Member of the Friends of The Australian Ballet we are asking you to continue to be a part of The Sleeping Beauty journey and make a donation to support the legacy of The Lilac Fairy.
The Lilac Fairy is a unique and special part of the Sleeping Beauty story and the Friends of The Australian Ballet cherish the role of custodian.
Donor names will be published in our newsletter and donations over $20 will receive a Lilac Ribbon Pin to wear in support of The Lilac Fairy.

The Friends of The Australian Ballet are excited to offer our Members this unique opportunity to be part of the onstage life of David McAllister’s envisaging of The Sleeping Beauty, by donating directly to The Lilac Fairy.
While Princess Aurora may be the heroine of The Sleeping Beauty, The Lilac Fairy is its spiritual conscience. She intervenes at every turn of the ballet’s plot to bestow grace and mitigate the pain of destiny.
Show your support for The Lilac Fairy throughout the year by wearing your Lilac Supporters Pin to all the ballets and let your friends know about your special donation to The Sleeping Beauty production.
